Our Mission:
We like to see our clients grow — not just in a business sense but also in a personal sense, as they gain confidence in their financial management skills.
Many accountants are intimidating and at arm’s length — we’re not like that. We want to learn what success looks like for you and your business and help you develop the financial literacy to get you there.
We’re interested in how our clients are doing, in both a business and a personal sense. We’re always around when clients need someone to bounce an idea off and help them make an informed decision.
We’ll help you identify growth opportunities and troubleshoot anything that’s getting in your way.
Our role in our clients’ businesses is freeing them to do more of what they’re good at. We have a vested interest in their success of course we do – but it’s more than that. It’s about doing what we’re good at, bringing that into a business, and seeing people’s confidence and financial skills improve.

The Team
Our team shares a professional curiosity about our clients’ work. When you work with us, we’re interested in what you do and what drives you.
At Dockwray, we thrive on problem-solving. Our team is dedicated to understanding your business and financial journey to guide you towards success, whatever that means to you.
We can’t stand watching people get ripped off and having their money work against them. Ultimately, it’s about trust, and businesses, big or small, need a team behind them that’s approachable, patient, and has their best interest at heart.
Our team at Dockwray brings a wealth of experience from diverse industries, giving us a unique perspective to support clients across sectors.

Employment Practice
We are a close team, and that all starts with our employment practices. A team that is happy and supported in their work will inevitably do a better job in supporting our clients.
Dockwray recruits for attitude, work ethic, and values, and then we train the skills. We always say the reason client referrals work so well for us is that nice people know nice people, and that starts at home with our staff team.
We want our people to enjoy work and to know they are valued and appreciated by us for their efforts.
Gill Brereton, Founding Director: “We are flexible about how we work and truly don’t mind when staff work. Some people come in early, and some leave late. If they want to work Saturday and have Tuesday off, it’s okay with us.”
We allow staff to plan their working week and how and when they do tasks throughout the month. Having autonomy over workload is so important, and research shows that it is one of the most important things for reducing stress in the workplace. It is the cornerstone of a healthy and productive working environment.
We are proud of our achievement of the Advanced Good Work Pledge award, which is an external recognition of our efforts to provide good work and to be good employers.
